Health Benefits of bananas
Since bananas are complex beings, changing their chemical composition at every stage, it only makes sense that they have different health benefits based on their color and stage of ripeness.

Because of complex chemical restructuring of the banana happens, it has different health benefits at different levels of ripeness.
When its Green :
It's best for people who are suffering from gastritis, diabetes, and looking to lose weight. The resistant starches and fiber keeps the glycemic index low and helps settle the stomach. Avoid these if you have constipation.
When its Light Yellow:
The ripening process has just started and is still full of fiber and complex carbohydrates. At this stage it can help reduce diarrhea, and still has a higher satiety than ripe bananas. Avoid these if you have constipation.
When it is bright yellow: T
his is when the banana has become ripe and most of its complex starches have broken down into sugar. They are great for reducing constipation and help in keeping your gut happy. Once they become a bright yellow, they are not recommended for those who have diabetes as their glycemic index increases significantly.
When its got freckles or brown patches:
At this point, almost all the starches have broken down into sugars, the chlorophyll has broken down into antioxidants and the water soluble vitamins are reducing. They are super easy to digest, great for young children. Due to their high antioxidant levels they have been shown to have anti-cancer properties. These should be avoided by those with diabetes, their glycemic index is too high.
